SBI Account Linking
SBI Connected Banking lets you link your SBI current account to Open Money. Once linked, you get real-time balance visibility, automatic statement sync, and the ability to initiate payouts from Open Money with authorisation on SBI.
Unlike single-session bank linking, SBI linking is a two-platform, branch-approved process. You start on Open Money, complete an API Banking application on YONO Business, get it approved at your SBI branch, and then sync the account back to Open Money.
Who can complete thisA user with the Administrator role on the SBI business platform must complete the linking. For a Vistaar account, the Regulator must first nominate an Administrator.
How the flow works
| # | Where | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Open Money | Log in → Banking → Link now → select SBI |
| 2 | Open Money | Copy the Unique Key Identifier |
| 3 | YONO Business | Administrator submits an API Banking application using that key |
| 4 | SBI branch | Omnibus document is submitted and approved |
| 5 | YONO Business | Sync account data and generate a token |
| 6 | Open Money | Linked account, balance, and statement appear on the Banking page |

Part 1 — Link the account
Step 1 — Initiate linking on Open Money
Log in to Open Money and open the Banking page. Under Connected Accounts, click + Link now.
Step 2 — Select SBI
In the Connect your Bank Account panel that opens on the right, select SBI. You can also search using Find your bank.
The Link your SBI Account panel displays a Unique Key Identifier along with the instructions for completing the linking on SBI.
Click Copy and save the key — you will enter it on the SBI platform in Step 6.
Do not skip thisThe Unique Key Identifier is what ties your SBI API Banking application to your Open Money account. Linking cannot be completed without it.
Step 4 — Log in to the SBI business platform
The Administrator logs in to YONO Business using existing Corporate Internet Banking credentials — User ID, Password, and Captcha.
Step 5 — Start a new API Banking application
Select API Banking in the left-hand menu, then open the New Application tab.
Step 6 — Provide onboarding details
On the Onboarding Details step:
- ERP Type — select Aggregator ERP.
- ERP Provider — select Bank Open from the drop-down.
- ERP Provider Unique ID — paste the Unique Key Identifier from Step 3.
- Corporate Email ID — enter the business email that should receive all API Banking alerts and notifications.
- Click Proceed.
Step 7 — Select API authorisation
On the API Details step:
- API Group — select Payments.
- Authorisation Mode — select Non-STP.
- Individual APIs — select all available APIs. Authentication API is selected automatically.
- Click Proceed.
Non-STP onlySTP mode is not currently enabled for SBI transactions on Open Money. With Non-STP, every payout initiated on Open Money must be authorised on SBI before it executes. Authentication API is mandatory for all APIs, and OTP is mandatory for transaction-based APIs.
Step 8 — Provide transaction details
On the Transaction Details step:
- Review the total transaction limit the bank allows for payouts on Open Money.
- Under Transaction User Detail, add the Name and Mobile Number of one user who can initiate payouts from this account on Open Money.
- Click Proceed.
OTP destinationTransaction authorisation OTPs are sent to the mobile number entered here. Any future change to this number must be updated on SBI API Banking as well, and the customer should inform the aggregator.
Step 9 — Accept terms and submit
On the Preview & Submit step, review all details, select I agree to the terms and conditions, and click Submit.
After submission, the View Status tab shows the application status against a reference number.
- Click Download Omnibus Document.
- Print it.
- Submit it at your branch along with the board resolution and the signatures of authorised signatories.
Step 11 — Sync account data after approval
Once the branch approves the application, View Status shows Onboarding Completed and a new tab, Account details Sync with Aggregator, appears.
Open that tab and click Sync Data with Aggregator. On success, the Token Management tab is displayed.
What gets sharedOn sync, details such as the debit account number, debit branch code, and mobile number are shared with the aggregator for transaction processing.
Step 12 — Generate a token
The connection between your current account and Open Money stays active only while a valid token exists.
- Open the Token Management tab.
- Set Expiry Period (days) — maximum 30 days.
- Click Generate New Token.
- Click OK on the success message.
Step 13 — Sync the token
Click Sync Token with Aggregator, then OK on the success message.
Step 14 — Confirm the account on Open Money

Revoke a token
You can disconnect the SBI current account from Open Money at any time.
- Open the Token Management tab on YONO Business.
- Click Revoke Existing Token.
- A warning confirms that no new transactions can be executed on Open Money until a new token is generated. Click Yes to confirm.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | What to check |
|---|---|
| Unique Key Identifier rejected on SBI | Re-copy the key from Open Money. It must be pasted into ERP Provider Unique ID with ERP Type set to Aggregator ERP and ERP Provider set to Bank Open. |
| Bank Open not listed under ERP Provider | Confirm the Administrator is logged in and the account is eligible for API Banking. Raise a service request with SBI if the option is missing. |
| Application stuck before Onboarding Completed | Approval happens at the branch. Follow up with the reference number shown on View Status and confirm the Omnibus document, board resolution, and signatures were submitted. |
| Account not visible on Open Money after approval | Confirm both Sync Data with Aggregator and Sync Token with Aggregator were completed, then refresh the Banking page. |
